The Windows Registry And Computer Errors

Windows XP is designed to automatically reboot each time an error occurs. Although this may be nice for errors that do not occur often, users who have a re-occurring error may wish to identify the error to troubleshoot it. TS runs fine until I reconnect with VNC which then brings the welcome screen up, at which point TS crashes with the same error as above. I attribute it to the welcome screen/login process, but am not exactly sure where it happens as it also does the same thing when initially booting . I have had it crash out as many as 6 times before becoming stable and staying up (service is set to restart). Extensions and themes can often cause crashes and other errors. This is especially true if you recently installed or updated an extension.

Go to My Computer, C disk, properties, tools, chkdisk and check "fix errors". Sometimes you may have to defrag as well afterwards so that is worth checking but not usually needed. What would cause such a serious error and how do I fix it?

DLL files form part of a large record of codes and information that are used by many of the programs on your computer system. They are all linked to the Windows Registry and help to enhance the speed and memory effectiveness of your computer by using an identical code to run various tasks processed by various programs at a time.

To repair this DLL error, search for all .pwl files on your system and delete them. Remember to make a list of passwords stored in these files because you will lose them when you delete the file. This program will scan your system registry and hard drive for invalid dll, svchost, file references, system references, javascript errors, activex errors, and outlook express errors for free.

These invalid references cause system instability, PC errors, constant crashes, and general system slowdowns. Dll errors usually happen when the program that you are opening is missing a file. When important files are missing, the particular program can't function and you will find error messages like, "Unable to find the file xxx.exe" and "Error in starting program xxx".
