Optimizing The Windows Registry
The registry changes all the time in normal operations, not only when you edit the registry, but every time you change a setting in Windows or a program, install a new program and so on. Each time the data is stored in or removed from the registry. After a time the information is out of the registry files. If you remove the keys the only left will be the remaining holes in the registry. If you save new data the holes will be filled, but eventually the registry will anyway be fragmented. That in turn leads to the system become slower because the data are spread over the hard drive and requires many harddrive data to read data when Windows or a program is started.
Just like a hard drive the registry should be defragmented from time to time, but Microsoft has not sent with any tools for it. The best thing we know is a registry cleaner program RegCure.
Registry optimized by RegCure saves the keys in the new files, which is usually less than the original fragmented files. RegCure then restart the system and replace the old fragmented files with the new and optimized.
It is recommended that you run Regcure registry cleaner once a month and after installing new or uninstall old programs to ensure that the register remains as small as possible.
