Windows starts up many programs automatically which is unnecessary. Here, we show you unnecessary programs to get rid of and thereby speed up your computer startup time.

There are two important areas in Windows that determines which programs are launched when you start your computer. One is the Startup folder on the start menu and the second item is Run in the registry. Check these two places at regular intervals, you get a fast and stable Windows start.

    What should you remove?

To find out if a program really need to auto start, you should see its path, which leads you into the program. Find out more about the program in question, so you can decide if you really need it.

    Classic deletion candidates:

Nerocheck.exe check if Nero is running or not. There is no point for that.

    Jusched.exe
check the state of Java from Sun and download updates. You can do this manually.

Programs that Soundman.exe are often specific mixer software for your sound card, but the Windows mixer will do fine.

Other programs that you can take a closer look at:

Installation programs for many video card, install a tool to quickly be able to switch between resolutions. Remove it if you do not need it!

Playing Tools: Real Player, Quicktime and Winamp starts automatically and they slow down Windows. Close of them if you do not use them daily.

Office: Microsoft Office and Open Office started in part when the computer starts. It is not necessary. Close the program.

Synchronization Tools: Pocket PC and Palm can only sync when the right tools to run, so do not remove the program. You can move it to the Startup folder and start it from there when needed.
